7.5 FK Field Pistol from BRNO Defense

Glad to see them still developing it. Last news I heard was a year ago or so. I'd love one. The caliber is kind of ying yang for me. It is pretty awesome ballistically but will be pretty niche and difficult to get I bet. Assuming these make there way into production and for the civilian market.

stretched 7.62 x 25? Chech sub gun ammo ran about 1450 or so out of handguns. Not sure what it would be ideal for, maybe handgun hunting varmits like coyote? It would be better in a PDW for military use then the FN round, assuming penetration against soft armor, which it should do at that velocity.

So far it's all marketing hype. It will only be interesting if:

- it's as accurate as they claim;
- it's good value for the money; and
- it's available.

As stated, the notion of a high velocity 30 cal round is not new, but then you ask, "If it was such a good idea, why did it die after WWII?"

nicely put. It's almost identical to 30 carbine (110 gn at 1900 fps) and everyone complained it lacked knock down power and was at best marginal on deer. didn't know 100 fps would make such a difference lol

Smoke and mirrors - you can't spoof physics. A given weight at a given velocity can only do certain things. I call jinx...

To my knowledge, production models are not yet available anywhere. Curious as to an ETA.

It's cool but only has limited use due to its weight and size. The 10mm was the next super gun until it faded away into history.

They will not be getting any Mil/LE contracts with that beast, unless some 3rd world SF unit gets suckered into buying it.

For what I'm seeing, the 10mm has really picked up in popularity, particularly in the US for hunting, with more platforms and models than ever before.
