Hi all,

I have been looking into getting a Model 1929 Swiss Revolver and I was wondering what type of load would be good for it.

I haven't done reloading before but I feel it is about time to get into it so my question on it is this.
In the Cartridges of the World (13th edition) it recommends 2 grains of Bullseye with a 105 grain lead bullet.

My issue is I can't seem to find any 105 grain lead bullets for sale. Would a Copper plated bullet like the 7.62 Nagant (Russian) or 7.62 Tokarev work for this or does it have to be a lead bullet? If it does have to be a lead bullet where do you guys get yours?

Thanks for any help provided.

For what I heard the diameter of the bullet that everyone who has the 1882 swiss revolvers use 314 cast bullets that are 100 grains or so. It is varying between Swedish cartridge which is called 7.5 swedish and 7.5 swissis. Both these cartridges can use 308 projectiles, however all reloading manuals call for bullet diameter of 314 to 327 as far as I remember. I only load for 7.62 Russian Nagant and I load my ammo with 308 projectiles that are raindging from 86 grains to 123 grains, because the cartridge is sealed and cylinder and forcing cone is proper 310 diameter.
Guys that load for this cartridge are Kurgan and Drslav here on this forum and they have hands on experience, they may chime in soon.
