The rifle was one of the last walnut stocked ones before the Swiss went to beech. The Swiss products side mt is steel with Burris steel .22 rings and a 6x Leupold German post reticle . I waited until the last 45 minutes of daylight to still hunt a rolling pasture, picking my way from island to island keeping the wind in mind .I hadn't covered a quarter of the 1/2 section when I spotted the first mulie , a 4x4 buck. Naturally can't shoot him as I'm packing a doe tag so I let him wander off. When he is safely out of the way I proceed .A hundred yards later a herd of does and the same buck appeared milling at 200 yards.Dropping to my knee with the shooting sticks I pick out a doe facing me at an angle.Aiming for an angling chest shot I touch one of and you can hear the impact. The deer stays in the scope as she collapses ...........this rifle is likely 10 lbs scoped. The dry does are some of the nicest eating ones.I'll have to cut her up PDQ as it is so mild here in central AB.....Harold
