This may be a stupid question.........is there any way too tell corrosive from non corrosive ammo just by lookin at it??the primer etc or all the same on the outside.

Ok its sellier@ bellot and has the red ring around the bullit and some around the primer very shiny must be laquerd..? Just wondering looked different than my other surplus stuff
 
If it was made before 1990, assume that it is corrosive. Very few exceptions to this. Non-corrosive ammunition costs twice as much, nobody who sells it confuses the two.

Having that said, a rifle still needs to be cleaned after use, so just shoot the corrosive stuff for half the cost and take the extra 90 seconds to clean it.

What does the headstamp say? What sort of packaging did it come in? Got any pictures?
 
Havnt figured out pics yet but came in plane brown boxes 20 rounds per the stamp says 711 on top and 79 on bottom
