7,62 *(7,5x55)* Swiss ammo. Where?

I must be a little thick:bangHead: Our dealers are selling K31 rifles and overpriced Swiss Ball. The Serbs are making nice, reasonably priced ammo but no one seems to sell it. They make an excellent variety of milsurp ammo. I have seen PRVI PARTIZAN products from time to time. Maybe it's just not profitable or Norma is just a much better buy:kickInTheNuts:

??? Really? I have never seen PP 7.5x55mm ammo going for less that GP11 in Canada and in the US it is priced about on par with our GP11. And I would also argue that GP11 is far more accurate to boot.

I'm not Swiss and don't belong to a Swiss Rifle Club. However, IIRC, there are about 4 clubs in Ontario, they are associated with the Ontario Rifle Association (ORA). As far as I know, you are not allowed to shoot reloaded ammo at their matches but must buy the military ammo that they make available. Anyway, this website lists all the Swiss clubs in Canada, including Swiss Rifle Clubs: http://www.germanresource.com/clubs_swiss_canada.php

Correct on no reloads, issue ammo a must for rifle programs.
Mitchell club and Thames valley are small local affairs.
Toronto Club is having a hard time getting time at Borden, last I heard.
Ottawa club mostly uses D range at Connaught Wednesday afternoons.

The GP11 is Berdan primed; I rest my case. Besides shipping from Alberta to Bantario is brutal.

PerversPépère,

Reloading berdan case isn't that hard... Primers are available through North Sylva (more expensive then regular primer... but since the brass is pretty much free ;)...)

RCBS makes a nice berdan decapping tool

I'll make a short video of how easy it is to decap Berdan primers with the RCBS tool, unless I can find one on Youtube already.

I buy RUAG 7,5 x 55 ammo from P&S in Sherbrooke, QC. at 7,50$ per box of ten rds. The performance of this ammo is so outstanding, that I bought the Lee dies only as backup for when the Swiss militia supply dries out.

In August 2000, I was invited by Swiss Rifle Club - Toronto. We were shooting at 300m South-East of Hamilton. One guy was punching repeated tens (4 inch diam.) and "mouche" (2 inch diam.) with an IG-11, open sight. All SRC-T shooters were using this militia surplus ammo, which the "sargent" was selling for 50 cents a round at the time.

Now that I have a ZfK-55 coming in the mail, I will be trying to tweak a worthier load (168 of 180 gr Sierra HPBT), but to tell you frankly, I'm not sure it can easily be done, + I need to find a range where I can shoot 500m and beyond to honor this fine rifle and "boldly go where ... " I have not done yet.

Sh..., I bought those same 7.5x55 Privi (nny) brass from Trade Ex a year ago. Have not used them yet, maybe I should return for refund... Tanks God, I have Norma brass.
