I'm having a brain fart here.

I could have worn all NATO spec 7.62 is lead core/non-steel core.

Am I wrong?

Seems IVI is lead core.

Portugese/FNM is steel core?

Hirtenberger?

Also was looking at some Swede ammo. "NA" or "DP". It looks like military issue. Might be reloads? Any ideas why the primers are stamped that way.

Military ammo needs to be made in the most economical way. When you have to produce millions of rounds its cheaper to use steel than color metals that are more expensive.
So if case or jacket or core of a bullet can be made with steel, it will be a substantial savings vs if only copper, brass or led were used. So yes its steel core and in some variances steel case ammo as well.
