My buddy and I finally made it out to his gun club that has 8 different types of ranges; from an archery approved range, long range rifle, through to a handgun/shotgun/rifle action range.
We got the green flag approval from the range officer to set up the gong we brought and chose range #4 - 100/200 yard range - to set it up at.
I knew the cheap surplus ammo for our SKS's are steel core and could probably defeat light body armour, but had no idea and wasn't expecting it to cut through the gong's steel at 200 yards like a blazing hot knife through fresh churned butter.
