Why? They don't work very well and are very hit and miss in my experience.

Indeed, this will likely work, as the guys at RWA are using XCR pistol mags with their 7.62 upper and the WK lower. They noted they had to provide some manual assistance with the first round on the magazine, but expected that to disappear as the magazine spring broke in. The behaviour will probably be similar with the WK181-C upper on the WK180-C lower.
