7.62 x 39 - Kodiak Defence WK181C - AK Mags

This will no longer be happening. Wolverine and kodiak are no longer working together.

Ahh crap. This would have been nice

Never say never. Wolverine has started a relationship with a new manufacturer, Spectre, and is making the WS-MCR; this new rifle is similar to the WK-180, in that it is based on the AR-180, but in addition to coming in 5.56 NATO, it also comes in Valkyrie and, key for an alternative to the WK181C idea, 7.62 x 39. Wolverine has indicated an interest in some of their forum posts in releasing a lower with Spectre that will take AK magazines instead of XCR STANAG magazines. So the WS-MCR may one day fulfil your that AK-style itch.

They also plan on producing a lower compatible with MCX picatinny folding stocks, like the new BRN-180 lowers, so you may be able to get a folder too. We shall see.

Over on the black rifle forum, someone posted that Kodiak finally has an AK-magazine compatible lower in production, presumably with an accompanying 7.62 x 39 mm upper. The lower may also fit the 7.62 x 39 mm MCR upper, which has seen availability in limited quantities as both a complete rifle with a STANAG compatible lower , and as an upper. To complete an AK-style look, SFRC is also selling an AK Magpul Zhukov-S adjustable folding stock with a WK and MCR compatible adapter. Just an FYI for those who want to Red Rifle up their Canadian 180B variant :)

Way to much hype, hearsay and claims.

If it's not on the website or for sale through retailers then it is not for sale.

Kodiak are big boys n girls, when it's reaady they'll advertise it
