I live in Toronto and my only current options for Ammo is Lebaron (Romanian), Al Flaherty (MFS, sold out I was told
until mid Summer) or I drive to Hamilton 45km Al Simmons(Chinese) or Elwood Epps 125km drive(Romanian they think)

Were can I find Czech or Russian without ordering online? My first crate was Czech and it was beautifully packaged
and came with stripper clips. (I've been buying the Chinese from Al Simmons)

Thank you in advance for your help, I'm not that comfortable ordering ammo/guns online.

Have shot some of the romanian, not bad, but it is corrosive as you probably know.

My experience with the MFS at Al's is it just shows up all the time. One day you're in there and its gone, pop back in next week and there is lots of it. It is a pretty good deal, just keep your powder dry and buy a bunch when it shows.. That's what I (try) to do...

Lanz a few creates on the floor by the door last week - I'm pretty sure it was corrosive, but you could give them a call, they are nice folks...

Why the fear of going online for ammo?

You could try Lanz in St Ann. Or Fishing World in Hamilton, just off Centennial Parkway on Barton St E.

Thanks for these two names I'll put them in my phone book. Nice thing with Fishing World is they sell half crates
of Romanian which is a nice option. I'm going to give Al's a shot but I loved the quality of the Czech ammo packaging, it was
first class.

The problem with finding surplus ammo in Toronto/GTA is these gun shops are only allowed to stock so many
rounds of ammo, some city bylaw and this i'm sure is the reason we have very few options not to mention
that we only have one gun store in the city.

Why the fear of going online for ammo?

I imported a wife from Germany five years ago and she doesn't trust the internet at all, I think
her parents experienced things during the war that left a deep impression on them and this
rubbed of on her.

I know your wife isn't a fan of the Internet but if its the Czech surplus is what you want then you should try the site sponsors I'm sure there loads of people that would vouch for them, after all they wouldn't be there if they weren't any good to deal with.
Canadaammo and budget shooter suplies both have it for 225$ free shiping, it couldn't hurt to check it out because you probably won't find a better deal.

^ This. I just bought a crate, from another dealer out of Ontario, 1440 Rounds for 260 with free shipping, which is deals considering I'm in NL! Definitely worth a look anyways. I know I'll be going back to them for more crates in the future, a TT33 with a crate of ammo, and hopefully a crate of .223 if I can secure a Type 97.

Ha, you prompted me to search further i found this on there site and I'm going to place a order on Tuesday.
Thanks for the nudge.

Do you take phone orders?

We ask that you please make your orders through the website as it helps keep our inventory controlled, lowers our costs which we pass onto our customers, and provides status updates and tracking info along the way. However if you are having any troubles or have the inability to order online we welcome your call at 1.866.960.0045.

Big budgetshooter supply (in B.C.). 225 plus free shipping. Got 2 crates within 5 days. Comes on stripper clips for 1200 rounds

Thanks guys for all your help, I'm heading our of town tomorrow to buy some ammo from a respectable European country.

I just cant believe that living in a city as large as Toronto my only options are Romanian (which is a dirt poor country)
or Chinese ????

I lived with my Chinese SKS for five years and had 3000 rounds of fun but the Sky has opened with the Russian SKS I bought a couple
weeks ago and I want to keep the same philosophy alive when it comes to Ammo. I'm tired of driving out to Hamilton to
buy Chinese ammo, Plus now with a non gritty trigger(chinese sks) my shooting has improved and i love the feeling of hitting targets,
this compensates my ego due to the fact that my wife wont go for a Roll In The Hay with me, #### marriage.

Thank you for all this information, I'm going to jot it all down in my address book.
I just drove out to Milton and bought a case from one of your members "Blackout", it was a
pleasure to deal with him. My plan is to buy a bunch of it for future shooting. When I started
shooting 303 was very cheap, not the case now and I'm not making the same mistake again.

I live in a city of 2.6 million people and yet I was going to have a 30KG case of Ammo delivered from the other
side of Canada which is almost half the way around the world, doesn't make sense to me, 30kg is heavy.

Spent four days shooting in the Bancroft area north of Peterborough and bumpted into
a gun store that is the most fully equiped gun shop I've ever seen in Ontario
http://www.accuracyplus.biz/, this store carries all my dream guns with the exception
of the FAL.

Sad thing is I stopped at Ganon to load up with supplies and only then ran into this outfit on
my way north to Maynooth.

Forgot to mention that Accuracy Plus doesn't have any Czech 7.62 x 39 ammo but they have all the
dream guns "Military" that EPPS and Al Simmons dont have in stock.

So, I will call Canada Ammo with my VISA in hand and hopefully enjoy the ride.

Everybody in Ontario is only carrying Romanian or Chinese.

okay I went there today (July 24th, 2013) and its confirmed.

Target Sports Canada in Gromely ON has the following;

7.62x39 mm RUSSIAN Surplus Steelcore 123gr @ $329.99 (1400 rds)

about 3/4 skid left. I know a bit on the expensive side.
