Finally broke down and bought a Norc M14 clone to go with my Garand.
Anyone have a pet load they would lke to share????

Try anything with a 150 grain or 147 grain.

44 grains of varget or rl 15 and a 150gr bullet.

150gr/168gr and 175gr bullets. Anything higher may exceed the max pressure of the chamber or gas system.

I've had good luck with 150gr Hornady SST's with 41.2 gr IMR4895/ Winchester cases and CCI200 primmers.

Still doing developement on 168gr Barnes TSX and 150gr Sierra Matchkings.

Neck sized brass only. (after 1st fire forming)

Lapua are more consistently manufactured and are the same price (personal opinion) I have better results with them in my rifle.

my load that the my m14 seems to absolutely love is:

43.5gr of W735, cheap powder from Higgonsons
CCI LR Primers
150gr Hornady FMJ's
Any case, trimmed to book length (maybe a tad shorter)

Can get me under an 1" @ 100yrds, not too bad...
