7.62 x 54 reload info for a pu 91/30 sniper

Anyone have a good starting point for a pu 91/30.

Have not slugged the bore as yet have read some need a .311 bullet

I use 308 and 312 bullets in 150gr. the load data can be found at hodgdon.com. lots of choice available, the trick is to find good brass.

You should slug your bore, gives you a good idea of what bullets you cen get away with. My Mosin slugged to 313. I use 174g 312 bullets to be ideal.

What kind of bullets or powders are you thinking of using ?

Going to try varget with 175 smks?

Bore is tight , And tried to seat a 311 174 and it bulged a case.

So 308 it is. And let's see. Cleaning rods were tight.

Very early mod mn 4090 is the serial #

Bore looks solid clean rifling.

Let's see

Measured some factory ammo at 310 ? Some 308 so let's see
