the 7.62x51 surplus(cheap) ammo is really, really rare.
You can look at the Equipment Exchange forum there is some sometime.
Otherwise you will want to buy new .308 ammo.

Check the head spacing first to see if you can shoot .308 if you haven't already.

just keep in mind the 170 grain bullet limit- the reason i say 170 is that encompasses BOTH the 165 (hunting) and 168( match) bullets- there's a LOT of 180 grain stuff out there and we just went thorough a tide of new m14 owners that were DUPED into buying it- WHICH THEY CAN USE,but on a LIMITED basis- NOT A STEADY DIET
