7.62mm ?

Hey Ryan have you ever seen this stuff in Canada ?

This is true military .308 / 7.62x51mm Nato spec. 147gr. FMJ ammo. It is headstamped WCC 06 with the NATO cross. It is bras cased, boxer primed and non-corrosive. It has an annealed case mouth and a crimped primer. It comes in a Winchetser white box that is labeled 7.62. The winchester item number is Q3130. This is winchesters military grade ammo, NOT there commercial ammo. It comes packed in 20rd boxes, 200rds. per case.

What is so special about military grade ammo? It's mass produced by the most cost effective means available and willingly accepted by the military as such.
I can get CHEAP CRAP privi partizan ammo with the same discription in 7.62x54r or 7.62nato/308WIN and it too comes in a white box for $23. The only reason I buy it is for the cheap brass so I can reload my obscure Russian rounds with good components. Not an issue for the common 308 Win. Are you a collector of military ammo?

FWIW Prvi is far from crap.
Their 7.62x54R ammo is a little short in the O.A.L, which hampers accuracy. But it is a 147gr FMJ or soft point canalured boat tail bullet. With 43gr+/-of nameless powder
(Which also hampers accuracy due to velocity variances) but is in a reloadeable brass case with an anealed mouth.

Their M30j has been great. Not nameless powder, it is made at MBL. Winchester uses "nameless" powder as well, I assume?

Uh huh...

TSE has been selling it for a couple of years.

Yes. Only the 5.56 though, so what about their 7.62? I don't imagine the price would be anything special but it should be competetive at least.

I know they had at least one shipment of 7.62, it was advertised here. I know from experience a full can of new production ammo is a lot of coin to shell out and wait for.

If prvi partizan is 'crap', next you'll be ragging sellier & bellot because they occationally sell repackaged surplus (clearly labelled as surplus corrosive)... Both companies make very, very good quality ammo, and occasionally sell reloaded surplus or straight surplus to feed our cheap ammo needs. If you paid very little for it, don't expect perfection.

And you know what; I'm not a big fan of corrosive surplus in commercial boxes, but sometimes (like for 7.62x25) some ammo is better than NO ammo!

Has nothing to do with it being military , yes i do collect the odd box of certain ammunition , however im sick of walking into other stores and seeing nothing but 180 grain .308 hunting rounds .

Ive bought ryans 180 gr SB .308 but im not going to continuously run 180 grain in an m14 .

and it seems that everytime 147,150 grain .308 some greedy little s**t buys 30 boxes of whatever comes in then i get f**ked for the next 3 months , and 30.00 bucks for match ammo can get expensive quite fast.
