I have shot a 9mm pistol recently and although the owner was going on about how much more recoil it had than his .22 pistols, i was surprised actually that it was not really a whole lot more than the .22's.

So now i know the 45 acp is going to have more kick, but is it allot more, or simply a bit more?

How does the 7.62TT (tokerav) compared to a 9mm or 45acp?

I find it makes a huge difference what gun it is fired from (for obvious reasons I suppose).

I find 9mm can be pretty boring in a full size heavy gun. However, in my HK PSP it is darn fun to shoot. 45 ACP in your average 1911 has decent recoil but is quite pleasant to shoot (and fun). Women I have shot with find the 45 ACP easily manageable.

x 2, it really depends on the gun

I have a Czech VZ-52 pistol and a TT-33 I find they kick about the same but the TT33 jumps up while the CZ 52 kicks straight back more.

I get more muzzle flip from my G17 compared to my Hi-power. My (recently sold) Norc1911A1 Government had more felt recoil than my Sig p220 Combat and both had less muzzle flip than the G17. The .22lr/.22mag SAA is minimal.
Guess it all depends on the HG.....
