7.62x25 ammo??

Yeah....let's expect to pay more. People with too much money I guess. Makes them feel good?

I expect nothing. I base my opinion on current pricing, which Marstar is way out to lunch on apparently. If they bring it in for cheap like several years ago I'll buy tons and stack it deep. If not, I can live without shooting cheap, POS surplus guns.

You must be new to the game, or at least to this board....
Otherwise you would know that Marstar's pricing is always competetive and most of the time trend setting.
Our selling prices are always based on what are costs are....

How did you arrive at this conclusion ? Based on what ?

I will jump into the Marstar time travel machine and immediately purchase this ammo in 1986, while I am there should I perhaps pick up some .303 ball, after all we were selling it for $99./1000 in those days ??

While back in the 1980s is there anything else you good folks on CGN would like me to purchase ?

Real estate would be my suggestion! Stay away from technology stocks!

Okay, in terms of firearms... Maybe you could also somehow pre-sell us some soon-to-be 12-6 firearms, so that we'd have them on our licences...

Hm... what else....

Actually, maybe you should go back in time even further (pre '77?) when it was still possible to sell full autos. I've always wanted a Bren gun....

Another awesome example of Marstar going the extra mile (in this case, the space-time continuum) to ensure satisfied customers! ; )

Here is some helpful advice:

This entire BS could all be prevented by simply waiting to announce new Ammo, Products, etc when they are in the Country,
here and ready to sell. There is no need for dealers to try and 'build the hype' - they are smart enough to know
what people need, bring it in and it will sell.

Everytime there is a pre-announcement that will be 'arriving shortly' or 'should be here in two weeks' it never is.
I've seen two weeks turn into 4 months, I've seen one month turn into a year and still not arrive. All dealers will achieve
with this strategy is to piss everyone off and create mountains of negativity towards their business.

I am not going to argue. Dealers you supply sell for much less than you do. If they can sell for $25-55 less and still make money why can't you? Plus ordering from you means shipping charges so the difference becomes even greater. Pardon my pessimism and frustration.

:stirthepot2: My list for your 1980's Hot Tub Time Machine trip is:
1. I'm not greedy, just 2 crates of that .303
2. $10,000 each on that risky Apple and Microsoft stock
3. Some real estate ... PM me before you go and I'll give you the exact listings ...

There's lots more but that's all of today's dollars I can spare at the moment.

Hey, since I've puchased stuff from Marstar before, I consider us "PAL"s. Would it be way too much too ask you to track me down in the 80's and tell me not to date that girl named Anne because she turned out to be a real b!$*h!

Thanks John!

John, forget about the time machine, I hate to burst the bubble in the hot tub (EWW) but it will never work. Let's get this back to serious. All you need is to develop a working partnership with Santa Claus. I know it might be a challenge to obtain the approval of the International Union of Elves and Reindeer (make sure the reindeer aren't in season when you contact them) but if you're successful there will be numerous upsides like not having to deal with customs, tariiffs and shipping. Just like Christmas, everything will always be on time! I know, I know, there will still be the little boys and girls who will whine and cry to no end because they didn't get exactly what they wanted but this is to be understood. If you're on the list, John will know who's been naughty and who's been nice.

PS I've been a good boy this year (I won't have a tantrum, even if you make me wait) and I would really like a crate of 7.62x25 for my 54-1 and if you can swing it, something shiny in a 9mm would be really cool.

PSS No cookies and milk for you John, please help yourself to the Scotch in the top cupboard.

It is great to see that there still folks out there with a sense of humour as well as being realistic....
I really enjoyed your comeback

I'll just kick back, and keep waiting patiently... and shooting other things in the meantime. It'll come when it comes!

Oh, and when you're back in time John, there's a little startup company that you can invest heavily for me... think it's called 'Intel'.

So I was at my gun club today and heard some rumors from the shop staff that that there is a whole bunch of 7.62x25 sitting in a warehouse somewhere in Ontario that just came into the country but it failed the RCMP's environmental tests and they wont let it be sold here.

John, this wouldn't have anything to do with your shipment would it?
