Hi everyone,
I'm just wandering if anyone has any knowledge of 7.62x25 ammo that is non corrosive and lead core and under 20$ a box. I find lots of sponsors with norinco but as it sticks to a magnet I am unable to shoot it at my range unfortunately (found out after I bought a few hundred rounds), so all I'm able to find is s&b which I haven't found for under $25.99 a box! Just wanted to know if any members know the whereabouts of anything else that calibre non corrosive, lead core, that won't stick to a magnet?

Why do you care if it is corrosive? Sure is easy to clean a pistol barrel. You could just swish it around in the sink.

I have a case of milsurp with lead core, so I know it exists. I don't recall what country it is from. It has a brass case, too.

I really doubt that there is surplus x25 that is just fmj non steel led core. This stuff doesn't exist. Since 1930's 7.62x25 is made with steel jacket fmj bullets then later with steel core construction. All other comblock countries just copied bullet construction from Russia. The only way to get any of this ammo with led core is to start reloading or buy s&b.
Since op is concerned with cost of ammo it would be cheaper to buy case of surplus and join outdoor range where no metal restriction exist.

I just checked it again. I have marked some cases marked "Fe" and other "Pb". The Pb one allows the bullet to be cut in half with side cutters. Lead core. But the jacket is copper clad steel. Mild magnet attraction.

I have the same stuff soft lead core, copper plated steel bullet brass cased it is CZ out of the big 2250 green boxes .

It only going to get more expensive. Buy reloading gear and brass. It will pay itself off in no time. There is lots of components that are available on the market right now. Its fun hobby as well. Once you have reloading set up going you may not even need to buy new ammo no more.

This. I decided to reload for my TT33 because I found the commercial stuff (S&B) too snappy. I use Berry's 110gr bullets, it's more like a 9mm now.

I have enough to last me for quite a while now.

That is really cool. I reload x25 as well. I use mainly lighter bullets in 71 gr. I resize them to 308 and find them better matching the sights at roughly 1200 fps. I find that fmj bullets give better obturation and grab lands properly. Are those berry bullets have hollow base?

I reload the 7.72x25 too. I have used the lead SWC intended for the 32 target gun; Berry's 110 plated M1 bullets and Hornady XTP

All three gave very very good accuracy in my 1911. The 1911 38 Super magazine requires the 7.62 bullet to be seated deeper than for a Tok.

I suspect all my future loading will be with the 110 gr.

Heavy pistol; mild load. Like shooting a BB gun.
