How would a 7.62x25 case with a 7.62x39 projectile perform out of an appropriately chambered short barrelled rifle?
I kind of had the idea while looking at 5.7x28 ammo but making it 30cal.

Ah yes, the ideas that pop into ones mind at 3am...!

It already is 30 caliber. All you would do is use a heavier bullet and decrease velocity.

Now, I have seen this round wild catted to a 224 diameter bullet and it easily did everything a hot 22 Hornet could do.

I remember the fellow getting 2900 fps with 50 grain bullets over his Chrony and a full case of Lil Gun.

That sounds suspiciously like a 22 TCM! I have dies for 22 TCM but I haven't built a barrel yet for my Tokarev.

The entire idea was to produce 5.7x28 style in 30cal using some of the most common surplus rounds.
7.62x25 brass with an m43 projectile and loaded hot like +P+.
Would it be a viable subgun or handgun round?

Wait, stupid question incoming, could I load an M43 projectile into 7.62x25 brass and shoot it out of a Tokarev?
Would it not be too long to chamber?

That's basically a 221 Fireball. They make both 7.62X25 and .221 Fireball out of .223 brass.
