I've been messing with a 1895 Nagant revolver...hard to find load data for it...
I loaded up a few rounds....
32/20 brass 4.2grs of Red dot behind a 85gr. hornady 32cal XTPhp (.312") COL. 1.540" This is seating the bullet sticking out of the case just past the cannelure so the cylinder can still rotate....... Chrony at 997fps....
The bore on my revolver is .313...could use a little bigger bullet dia. than the 32 cal's but they work...Just the land is cutting the bullet....
Anybody know what the bullet dia. is of the ones Trade Ex is selling?

Edited to add the weight of the bullet

Russ...

TRADEX bullets are .308. The 3 of my NAGANTS are also.308 bore. I use a 85 gr. cast at .310 dia. that works well with the 32/20 brass but no gas seal. With the nagant brass I have hard extraction with both the cast and the plated nagant bullets.
