7.62X39 Ammo at CT

While this maybe true, Canadian Tire was the first one to dry slam shooters in the a$$ when the gun laws changed. While they are trying to coin in on popular surplus sales, they were also large contributors to the Liberal Party of Canada. You are better off spending your money in your local gun shop where people are dedicated to service and longevity of the sport, and where profit stays local as is spend in your own neighborhood.Canadian Tire is dedicated to profit alone and will stab you in the back once more when their mandate for profit changes. My how people have such short memories?

With all of the legislation the liberals and PC's brought in, do you blame them? Do you also blame the countless independent firearms stores that were legislated out of business from the mid 90's onward?

I love CT in Leduc,got 2 SKS rifles,and an SVT40 from there,along with 2 crates of SKS ammo,and a crate of 7.62x54(so far),and a couple of .22's.

You can't beat that unless you have a stack of CT money to buy it with.

hahaha, i'm not a big fan of being stuck behind the retired guy buying a $600 item with CT cash. but i would wait patiently. Once i went in to the service counter and had all my nickels and dimes turned into dollars. keeps the stack smaller and easier to count.

If you want to go back to the Renfrew store, let me know. I'll tell you who you should be talking to. The guy showed me how to strip the rifle right there in the store! It also helps that my wife is the office manager. Ya I got the staff discount :).

Still no firearms or surplus ammo in the Kelowna or West Kelowna CT stores, only air rifles/handguns and commercial ammo, hope that changes soon

Agree 100%, best Canadian Tire I have ever been to, lots of selection for rifles, ammo and cleaning supplies.

Good deal, wish it was that price here... 299.99 per 1400 last time I looked at the Grandview CT in Vancouver

for the rest of you that can buy at $230.... buy cheap, stack deep :D

ya but that was nbetter a couple month ago when they were having all the csa vz58 , tavor , and other now all the black freaking gun are gone because of some a hole !

It is nice that Canadian Tire has gotten back into firearm sales as it allows the general public to see firearm use an acceptable sport again . The only time the average Canadian seen a firearm was on American television dramas , and the firearm was usually shown in an extreme act of violence. With shows like Duck Dyansty , and national stores like canadian Tire , firearms are once again becoming more acceptable to the mainstream Canadian public.......

Bang on!

Thank you for the laugh! I know people on both sides of that argument...still...screw that guy :)

I know the Garden City Canadian Tire here in Winnipeg is always stepping up it's game. I've started doing all of my CT shopping there just to see what they have each week. x39, x54R, .223, Swiss 1911 carbines - there is always something new to fawn over!
