7.62x39 ammo shortage

7.62x39 Cost.

I was in to the Home Hardware Store in Brandon, Mb. today. They had a large stack of wooden cases, 1120 rounds each case, for $189.00.

1120/20=56 boxes. $189/56=$3.38 a box.

Thas seems reasonable for military ammo to shoot. I did not see what the country of origin or manufacture was, as I did not need any.

Its Czech M43 Corosive ammo. Good stuff but still is corrosive. However its the cheapest and only x39 Ive seen for a while.

P&D Enterprises in Edmonton have Czech milsurp 7.62x39 for $199.00 per case of 1120 rounds. They still had a fair number of cases on hand earlier in the week. I'm not sure what a case weighs, but I'll guesstimate 20 kg/case. DHL would charge $80-$100 plus GST to ship 2 cases to Surrey. Even with shipping $500 is a pretty good price for 2200 rounds.

I found out in Hamilton Ont, there is the Selliot Benoit aamo available, but thats it. If you want wolf or what ever good luck, head to Buffalo.
 
We have lots of it in stock (63 cases were set aside to be shipped with SKS rifles) But now it seems by the time the rifles get here there will be more ammo available. It is going fast though, we have enough for about 6 more weeks. PM me with your postal code for a price.
 
Great we get the corrosive stuff but it sure would be nice to find some wolf or Winchester white box or the like. I shot lots of .223 Wolf in Alabama and had NO issues. Actually it shot damn well.
