Very new to ar15's looking to purchase my first one. The reason why i havent is due to the price of the .223 and the 5.56 ammo! I seen one on here forsale that came in 7.62x39! But i want one brand new not used, anyone know of any dealers that have these or are they special order? Please let me know! Thanks alot!
 
They are uncommon because they are not generally worth the effort.

The mags are unique, and hard to find up here. While the ammo is cheaper, the offset is that you'll need to strip the bolt and bolt carrier after each session.
 
I heard the SR-47 was dumped over concerns about reliability. Though you couldn't own one of those anyway. I have never seen a x39 AR outside the internet. I know of a few on the other side of the border.
 
I've had one for just over a year now. Only two failures to extract on a hot chamber, damned laquered cases.
Easily shoots 1 to 1.250" @100 mtrs. off of the bench.
Total rounds so far just over 1100 and still dosen't need cleaning. Only maintenence has been to spray the bolt and chamber with rust check!
Trying to see how many rounds till it needs a complete teardown for major cleaning.

I'd be curious to see a picture of the gas rings and the inside of your bolt carrier.
