Hi all

I went to Mississauga lebaron today to pick up my crate of ammo 1320rds:D.
I noticed some crates although russian marked with different codes. I asked to see the ammo itself and clerk gave me a box of it to see. I looked at the stamp and noticed K on 6 ocklock same as on one crate, then I noticed different dates 65. 59. 51. What is the difference between stamps and what K stands for?
By the way casings are either copper washed or real copper.
Thank you

:D

The Russians and Eastern block countries often use a similar marking system. This is an example of Russian case markings, although different caliber.

I think the OP is talking about the headstamp on the round. I'm going to guess it's a factory mark (K) and the year of manufacture! :D Sounds like there's a variety of vintages??? Hopefully the crates are all the same consistant vintage inside and not a jumbled repack after entering the country but before being released for sale.

Hey gewehr76 .... Thanks for the info!
So just to clarify .... were there rounds marked 65, 59 & 51 all in the same box of 20?? Or were the different dates on different crates??
WRT the colour I'm pretty sure that it's copper washed steel cases, not reloadable brass. Hoping to P/U mine tomorrow & have a closer look. :D

I had a closer look at some cartridges and they marked similarly in that particular package, however when I opened another package of 20 I saw 64 dated batch. You are correct they are copper washed steel cases. As per crate stamps some marked 65,59,51. Vintage packages in different crates. packages wrapped in white stickers in french and english
