7.62x39 FMJ projectiles?

Anyone know where to find inexpensive 7.62x39 FMJ projectiles in .311 dia? What other calibres could I use?

I have a bunch of copper plated ones and can't get them to shoot worth a crap out of my 858's or SKS's.

Can't help you on the FMJ's since I don't live in Canada. Not sure who's plated bullets you using but in general they shoot best when shot at cast bullet velocity Berry's recommends not to shoot there plated bullets no higher than 1700 to 1900 fps

Henry Nyerichlo at Budget Shooters Supply has them in bulk. He has Hornady 123 gr. V-Max which are cheaper than the fmj's and a lot more accurate.

it may be cheaper to buy a case of Milsurp and pull the bullets from them and salvage the powder.

cheapest way is to pull the bullets from the surplus, you get the powder to boot.

I have double digit crates of milsurp. I can't shoot it indoors at my range because they are steel core.

Williams Arms in Port Perry had some bulk 123gr bullets a while back.

Remington used to sell the .310 dia fmj in 123 gr in bulk I believe Hornady also sells >310 gr in either fmj or sp. I used only soft bpoints and went with sieera 303 .331 dia 125 gr gamekings. even though the 7.62 x 39 is a .310 bore dia. The sierra's held together better than the 125 horady's or thr sp remingtons and the 1 thou did not make any difference.
