7.62X39 from CanadaAmmo...Is it really Non-Corrosive? (Yes, it is)

Any past experience of people buying 7.62X39 crates from CanadaAmmo...Is it really Non-Corrosive as advertised??? Thanks

I've bought boxes of their "Dominion" non-corrosive and it was definitely non-corrosive. I believe it was commercial production, not surplus.

I got some a year or two ago and was NC. That was when they were doing combos with SKS. Don't know what they are getting now but I doubt they would say it was if it wasn't. The flame war here would be epic and their credibility would burn with it

Yep shot 1000's of rounds and never clean my gun right after. Sometimes sits for months. Love the new manufacture Chinese ammo. Not one failure to go bang to date. If your really concern do a nail test CA is a stand up company and will back there products.

Thanks Guys..just wondering as I have (Not from CanadaAmmo), purchase advertised "Non-corrosive" ammo before which turned out to be pretty well corrosive or most of it.. Cheers

When I have bought non from CA it was just that. Found out the hard way when other advertised non corrosive that wasn't the case. Shoo with confidence . Cheers

If CanAm says it non-corrosive, it is non-corrosive. They stand behind what they sell 100%.

To be fair and 100% honest, except for that one time that they got some Chinese 7.62x54R that they were told was non-corrosive, they sold it as non-corrosive initially, and then people proved quite undeniably it was certainly corrosive. Once they were shown that the Chinese lied to them, they didn't try and deny it, and IIRC they dropped the price of the ammo and issued refunds, so they definitely operate with integrity, but it does just go to show that sometimes even an honest business can be lied to by a supplier and end up selling something as something it's not because they were told it was something it's not.

Yep, I'm in the middle of doing a corrosive ammo cleaner test and had some Canada Ammo 7.62x39 non corrosive in the test, no rust.

Canadian Tire on the other hand? Yeah, they'll tell you their ammo is non corrosive when it is.

If it's surplus in a can, in Stratford Ontario, they call it corrosive... most is ,but I got a sardine can of Russian 7.62 x 25 that was clean as clean can be.

I trust Canada ammo, their Norinco 7.62 surplus is great shooting and NC as far as I know, but I still thoroughly clean my unit after any good pew. Either way just clean your gun, because you can shoot corrosive no problem but dont even think about leaving your piece beyond overnight without a good snaking followed by rod and swabs, especially if you are in a humid environment. care for your weapon and it will return the favor.

I have been shooting corrosive ammo for years, bought lots back when it was really cheap, back when i got my 858 back on the first shipment from wolverine (now sold) .... john told me to just give the action and barrel a good soak of WD40 after shooting, he said it neutralizes the corrosive salts in the primers. Thats all i ever did for years, aside from cleaning it every 3 or 4 outings....and i have never ever had rust issues.....ever...... not even the gas port hole...

If its cheaper, i will always buy corrosive without any worries whatsoever....
