I understand that the particular rumor that cosco doesn't ship ammo to Canada anymore is no longer the case or never was. I could be wrong.

I believe this was started when the Norinco surplus 5.56NATO was no longer readily available. This was due to the "surplus" part of it no longer being the case (all of that surplus was from 1995 I believe). It was old, had to go... we got it as the US doesn't allow it in. Now there is no more surplus... at least not until they find some more in the back of some warehouse.

So long as Norinco continues to overproduce that ammunition we may be in luck in the future.

I thought the issue had something to do with Cosco's shipping routes stopping in American ports en-route and that is against the rules for Chinese ammo to be in an American port. So maybe if CanAm orders a WHOLE container ship, they'll float direct to Canada?
