Hello,

I am looking for some non corrosive 7.62x39 in surplus form and so far the cheapest I can find is sold by Lever Arms in Vancouver. I don't want to deal with them because they are a bunch of idiots and grumps, does anybody know of any place that sells non corrosive cheaper?

ps Lever arms is selling 1440 rounds for 299.00

Thanks

I haven't personally tried the ammo from lever arms but many others have said it is about half and half corosive and non corosive and it all looks the same, so yeah that's why it's so cheap.

Personally I shoot non-corrosive because it is NON-CORROSIVE. No "rule of thumb" to it. There is corrosive and non. Buy accordingly.

Lever Arms has been selling green-painted 1440 round crates of early 1970's Chinese ammo as non-corrosive and it isn't. This ammo has shown up at other dealers and guys who have trusted the description have ended up with rusty rifles. $300 for that much non-corrosive is a price that is pretty much too good to be true. CanAm had 1200 round crates of Chinese 1990's non-corrosive. That is the only size and production date of Chinese crates that I would trust as NC.

Check the headstamp before you buy it. If it's from the 70's, treat it as corrosive.
