Hey I am just looking for some input on the non corrosive Norinco Ammo, curious what anyone's experience's have been with it, good and bad. Looking to buy 1000 Rounds from SFRC while they have their 15% off sale going on.
Any input would be great

Thanks

Depends which stuff it is..

In a crate or box? The boxes were definitely non corrosive, and shot very well in all my sks. Most accurate ammo I’ve used.

They were steel core, but soft steel.

Barnaul would be the only other option, in the reasonably priced territory. Mind you, it's Russian made - so you'll have a certain subset along to rail about Communism/Socialism...

For what is avail today i'd rank 7.62x39 in this order of desirability. (I am ignoring Hornady, Winchester, Federal etc.. because they are harder to find and higher cost & never tried privi-partizan)

#1 Sellier & Bellot - brass and shoots great, consistent
#2 Barnaul - very consistent, similar accuracy to S&B, soft tips on SP better for bolt actions.
#3 Norinco (non-corr)- mostly consistent, always fire and well sized. works great in my SKS's and CZ527's
#4 Corrosive stuff...….
#5 Can-Ammo reloads - inconsistent, some rounds so not chamber even in SKS. Those that do chamber have all fired though.

I'd rank my pricing by the list as well. I'd never pay more for Norinco than I would for Barnaul. In fact unless your going hunting and need Soft Points i'd just recommend Barnaul ammo 100% in the 7.62x39 calibre.
