i cant find any reload data for 7.62x39 for 123g berry spier point bullets and BLC-2 powder

any direction would help

i have these components and want to use them up

yes i checked both websites berry and hodgedon

thank you

I looked in the hornady and Lyman manuals that I have and they have no load data for blc2 powder
Maybe it’s not a suitable powder for 7.62x39?
I see it can be used in 223 though

BLc-2 is medium-slower burning powder, best suited for 308 or heavier bullets for .223/5.56, not 7.62x39, this requres a little faster burning powder such as Reloader 7, H/IMR 4198 and similar.
Here is some reloading data from Hodgdon/IMR/Winchester web site

I also had VG accuracy with H-335 + Win 748 anything used in the .222/.223 will also work fine in the 7.62x39 as well I load Sierra .311/150gr in it.

I loaded some 7.62x39 with H335 to try it out as I heard it has good accuracy
Havent had a chance to try it out yet to see how it shoots
Noticed the loads are compressed though when using this powder

op, are you using berry .310 plated bullets? I ran these as well, keep in mind they are not jacketed bullets and not recommended to be pushed over 1900fps.

There is a gentleman go by the id 'armoredman' who had great success with this projectile. Search internet for his post on various forums.

For me I had absolutely no luck with it in my cz527. I've tried 1680, 4198, 4895, CFE BLK, H335 on this bullet, all of them gave very poor accuracy past 25 yards in my cz527. Only success I've had was with trail boss in both x39 and x54r. I get around 1800fps from mosin and 1500fps from cz527. Otherwise I use them to replace the projectile in surplus ammo for my indoor range (where accuracy beyond 25 yard is not an issue).

Good luck on your venture and hopefully your rifles likes the berry pill better than mine.

Didn't realize Berry bullets had a 1900fps limit? My data would be NFG in that case. I use 3.5gr of Bullseye and a cast 93gr Tokarev bullet for grouse in a CZ527 perhaps the OP could use them up making SG loads.

I have some CFE BLK to try and have used H322with decent results. Getting better groups with Hornady 123gr .310dia, than the Berry's 123gr .311 bullets. Rifle is a Howa.

I have reduced start loads by 10 percent for plated bullets. With plated bullets I have used start loads and worked down with less powder to find a loads that works.

Got out yesterday with my 7.62x39 and some loads with CFE BLK and 123gr Hornady bullets. Velocities were up 2488, 2529 and 2502. Quite a bit higher than H322 which runs 2230 or so.

I also have a Howa in 7.62x39 and want to try CFE BLK with 123 gr Hornady V Max bullets. Did you shoot for groups or just velocities? Thanks.
