Down in the states guys can get 1000 rounds of bulk SP for around 220 US. But I can't find a single Canadian site that sells bulk non-corrosive SP 7.62x39 at anywhere near a decent price. If they're paying 30 cents Canadian a round south of the border, why should I be paying a dollar a round up here?

Any information on places or websites to get this type of bulk ammo cheaper would be much appreciated. I don't need any more FMJ. I'd even take hollow point.

Thanks

I bought 100 rounds of the western metal brass cased non-corrosive 7.62x39 , 125 grain , jacketed soft point ammo.
It grouped like #### out of all three of my sks rifles. My best shooting Russian Tula SKS will shoot a 3 inch group at 100 meters with Russian and Chinese surplus ammo , out of the same rifle at 100 meters that Western Metal stuff shot a 6 inch group.
Don’t waste your money on it if you plan on shooting it out of a sks , maybe it does better in a bolt action 7.62x39 rifle like the Howa or CZ I don’t know but I wouldn’t put my faith in it to be accurate enough for hunting out of an sks.

You’re not going to find sp non-corrosive in Canada for the same price as it sells in the USA. Just nut up and buy the Barnaul SP stuff from GoTenda. They usually have the best price you’re going to find it for.

Even the Barnaul soft point have a bi-metal (steel w/copper coating) jacket - not allowed at my range!

I am soon going to resort to pulling Chinese surplus ammo and loading Berry's copper plated bullets... At least I can weigh the surplus powder charges and hopefully make them more consistent.
