7.62x39 surplus all gone?

ammobin says negatory - some Red boxes for $12 (.60/rnd) or so, but shipping will bump that in most cases.
Maybe Carnievil will get some cut loose next week ?

If you don't own a couple sks, it's too late for you now. They aren't worth 1k each
thats what happens when an entire country .. sorry "community" lets the government #### them over with magically evidence your not even allowed to look at while letting children who know #### about guns make the very laws about the guns they know #### all about .. THEN ELECT yet another liberal ####### who basically handing our country over to the highest bidder .

But hey "freedom" right i mean a bunch of men and women died fighting for rights our government now deems subversive and potentially threatening , im surprised they stopped at 1k a pop ... you could always go buy a $3000 RFB or whatever else someone who a guns store decides to pull out of their ass that day .

It does seem like the sun has set on corrosive surplus. The only thing out there for a while now is new production. Tenda has brass cased 223 on sale for 55 cents. We are well past the point of 7.62x39 being more expensive than 223 bulk ammo.

All surplus goes the way of 303 eventually

From Lever or NE, a case would run me into over 70c/round with taxes and shipping of ca $100 (or more). BP puts Nor-red for ca $12/box on sale, for cheaper than Lever or NorthernElite ! Guess I'll have to jump on the next sale  'cause I'm down to ca 1200 rounds, half of these are Barnaul, Rom and Czech. The 'other' 600-ish are 'remains' of a spam can.
I have a Ruger x39 for 'when' the SKS gets retired. . . and buried 😉

Lowest I ever paid was 16 cents free shipping for 1960’s Czech surplus around 2010. 2 spam cans in a wood crate with the can opener screwed into the bottom of the lid. It was all 19-21 cents for a very long time after that (until about 2020). The most recent batch of Chinese surplus (2023?) was around 35 cents. It’s hard to pay the going rate for non corrosive when you can get better quality 223 ammo cheaper

Comparably-priced semi-auto rifles in intermediate calibers are mostly all the prohib-compliant Turkish rifles.
In my opinion, the mostly good reviews the Turkish rifles receive after buying one brand-new and firing a few mags at the range are notably NOT comparable to the time after time reliability of the 81 year old SKS.

$1,000 is an upsetting price for a rifle that used to be sub-$200, but a good one is still worth it.

Ten years from now guys will be wishing they bought one for $1000 now, if they are able to buy one ten years from now.
