When I was into shooting my Sako 6PPC, a friend and me tried sizing 7.62x39 Win cases into 6PPC, it worked out OK but you had to use LR primer. It was at a time when we had trouble finding Lapua PPC brass. I was wondering if anyone else tried this and was using them??? I've got 30 pieces and I offered them to a friend who still shoots a 6PPC and if he doesn't want them I'll probably sell them ( cheap) if they could be of any use to someone:confused:

I was thinking about a ppc for a while for varmint shooting. Cheap brass is a huge asset when you talk about volume shooting, therefore I was considering forming ppc brass from commercial 7.62x39 brass (remingon, cause it has the small primer pocket).

'Serious' benchresters who rarely load more than a couple dozen at a time tend to prefer more expensive exotic brass

My friend who still shoots his PPC reloads at the range and usally uses only 10 or 15 cases, I think his brass is Sako.I also think he'll stick with the Sako because it uses small match primers ( Federal) which he has 5000 of them but is low on Large Rifle Match , which is impossible to get anymore:(. He and his Long Range buddies are trying to find some , they want to buy 50,000 if they can find some

Pindell and Palmisano used the 7.63x39 to make the PPC line of cart/cases so I would hope it would work, with a little of persuasion.
