7.62x39 took on a Sambar Deer hind 180 meters

but did you expect a "303" 150grain or 308 150gr very standard round, to do that in OP at a whopping speed of , 2000 feet per second?

No, didn’t expect that from a hot core. I’ve shot a handful of WT deer with .303 Federal blue box which uses Speer hot cores and all have performed great, as in dead on the spot or ran no more than 40-50y. All heart/lung shots with the odd opposite shoulder hit on exit, they were all pass throughs so I’ve never recovered one but hearts and lungs were pulp. Exit holes were large and blood trails were obvious, mix of broadside and quartering away shots, all were from 180gr though. The S&B .303 150gr were no different and I’m guessing they’re a cup and core as well based on price point.

You havnt heard??

fair enough, Everyone knows whata Bonded projectile does............. an the Monos......... ;) but did you expect a "303" 150grain or 308 150gr very standard round, to do that in OP at a whopping speed of , 2000 feet per second?

Makes sense. So his challenge is finding a bullet that expands sufficiently at those lower velocities, but doesn't disintegrate. I'm not sure what my bonded bullet would have looked like at 2000 fps impact.
