Has anyone ideas on where to find milsurp 7.62X39 at the moment?.Ive phoned around,no luck.I believe that Marstar has some, but hoping to find a place closer to home that has it in stock(Im in BC)

The places that I have contacted have said late summer before they get anymore

I think shes pretty dried up sadly.... I havent been able to find anymore around my parts.
I bought the last 60 rounds worth of czech made a little while ago locally along with the last of 40 made by PMC.
Havent seen any since :(.

check with reliable guns in vancouver.

also the last time i was in westley surplus on front street in new west , they had ammo , unfortunately they are $225/crate. pricey. :(

I gave up looking and decided to roll my own its about 130 per thousand with jacket bullets and 90 bucks per thousand with Cast bullets.

Tell me more! Where can I find bullets and brass for that price? You're using surplus powder, I assume?

Thanks for the info guys,Westley surplus said they were getting in a few crates in a day or so,so will try there.

wow, thats not good news, not the news about westley bringing in a few crates in a day or so but the news he had no problem selling out at $225, i was just there 2 weeks ago and i didnt buy any cos i thought it was too pricey.

i guess it like gasoline, i can only hold out so long till i run out.

Where is Westley Surplus???

search westley military surplus on telus phonebook website, the store is on front street in new westminster but for you living in kelowna, you should try the gun store in vernon , he had some for under $200 a few months ago, i wouldnt be surprised if its all gone.

Was just in at Reliable today, and unfortunately they are all out.
In case anyone is curious, they did have 4 boxes of .223, but at $225/500.

Brass is expensive I bought all mine here on the gunnutz. I put a want ad and got a lifetime supply in about 10 Minutes. I paid about 70$ for about 450Brass.

As for powders I am using 15 grains of h110. 15 grains of h110 will cycle the action. You probably could go with surplus powder but with a slower powder it takes more grains so what you save on the surplus might be consumed by using more of it.

312 bullets are available at canadian bdx. I am casting mine with a 312 mold and it was not working out. I checked the barrel and it is 313. So I've beagled my mold (Put aluminum tape on the sides of it so it drops a larger bullet). I put in an order for a 314 sizer lee. Not here yet so I can't say how it will work out. If I can't get cast bullets to work then I will go the bdx route.

I recently bought a case of Czech from Del Selin Gunsmith in Vernon,BC. Cost was about $203 including taxes.
