7.62x39

So i am looking at reloading the 7.62x39, What diameter of bullets do people use?

The 3 different reloading books i have looked at stated
.308
.310
.311
.312
Which one is it?
THe rifle is a CZ 858 Tactical.

i made a thread about this awhile back, and came to the conclusion that .311 is the magic number.

plus the rcbs dies come setup for .311, and also come with a seperate expander for .308 diameter if needed.

some guys have suggested slugging the bore to get an exact figure, but i'm gonna try the .311's and see what happens.

I use .310 Hornady #3140, 123 gr SP.... don't remember their FMJ bullet number, same weight. Ideal weight for milsurp guns in 7.62x39.

Slug the bore.

My CZ-527 came out at .313"

Even with the "loose" bore, I'm getting 1-1.5" at 100 m. with Prvi-Partizan 123 gr.

Hornady 312-32 CAL 100 GR HP/XTPs should be fun for gophers
