my next planned gun purchase is a cz-858 and if this offer goes on long enough for my gun savings to get up to 900 bucks, i would Seriously consider buying one of those pre finished czs. if not i might just buy a pre finished sks, but either way i like the idea of less needed cleaning, and the parkerized metal. question. can i send in my current sks anywhere to get it parkerized and chrome lined or do you have to buy one new.

You can park a chromed lined barrel, you can use any treatment on a chrome bore for that matter, just need a shop that knows how to plug a barrel and chamber properly.

I've seen quite a few barrels (AR) that guys have tried parking with the lowest bidder and they got a parked bore... Any reputable shop should be able to do it.

i just want to chrome line the barrel as it is a 1951 russian tula and i want to keep it in as good shape as possible so that if i ever need to take it for a long time without cleaning its ready to rock.

Buy another chromed one. They're what $179 now? Why would you pay $120 plus shipping to treat one lol?

We will be selling MFS brand non-corrosive ammo in a month or two. Steel cased. Price will be $9.99 per box of 20 for FMJ and $10.99 per box of 20 in SP. Stay tuned to our forum, Twitter, and Facebook for more info.

http://www.badgerarmssupply.com/, $369 with 1120rd ammo crate this works out to $169
http://www.theammosource.ca/ $189
http://www.ellwoodepps.com/ $179.

Plenty of dealers above for you to do your own homework.

Dont want to spend 369 for an sks and ammo, even if its a good deal.

Is there any way of telling if the ammo source 189 sks is chrome lined because theres no point of me buying it if it isn't, i want to get my next gun with a chrome bore for sure, less hassle and that way i can really tell the difference between the two.

the only one i found on epps is a 225 sks that is sold.

Who cares? It's non corrosive. I can throw a filthy dirty gun in the gun locker for two months and clean it at my leisure. Shoot corrosive ammo and try to get away with that!

$9.99 a box of FMJ is what .223 goes for and if I understand right, this isn't even reloadable. I am assuming that there will be a price for 1000 round case lots - yes?no?

So what are you going to shoot out of it? Potatoes?

Well.......at the end of the day, I have found shooting corrisive and using gunzilla and oil to not be the hardship I thought. In fact, less that 1/2 hour of cleaning, after a day at the range is not unreasonable and to be honest I would regardless except fo me .22. The CZ field strips so easily and is........well fun.

MFS steel case ammo. All new production. Will be here end of August or September. General public will see it probably in two weeks time. So in time for hunting season.

:) Stop arguing start shooting :)
