X2. And also, is this stuff corrosive? It comes in a white cardboard box of 20 rounds, with a white label on it. Imported by Century International Arms Ltd. Made in Romania. UN0012 1.4S (Whatever that means?) and the head stamp on it has the numbers 22 & 69 on it. I don't want my CZ rusting up!

I will treat it as corrosive.

Just like .303, .30-06, 8x57, and other milsurp calibres, the cheap plentiful x39 will come to an end sometime. It's anyone's guess when.

And just like those other rounds, they will be always be available in expensive 20 round boxes of new production.

One difference I see between the WW1 and WW2 era stuff to nowadays, is that the older calibres mainly fed bolters, while the x39 is going into semis mostly. So expect it to be used up far more rapidly.

So, BUY IT CHEAP, STACK IT DEEP.

when phazers will make all firearms with cartridge obsolete, then the 7.62x39 will supersede flintlock firearms and will be most common used cartridge.

Any suggestion that the supplies are running low is artificially created. There are trillions of these rounds out there. I would venture that our grandchildren will still have cheap access to this ammunition. I haven't seen any surplus newer than the 70's being sold. That leaves another 40 years of ammunition that is squirreled away for now that will be bought and sold as surplus down the road.

If thats the case, why aren't we seeing newly made, cheap Chinese 9mm, x39NC, .308 etc etc
CanAM has stated that new production Chinese ammo is on par or above the american prices.

M43 ball ammo is steel core and m67 ball ammo is lead, the case might be mark. I know my czek case is marked m43. Its a good bet its steel core ammo since only the Yugoslavs used lead core initially (1967 hense m67 ball) and your ammo is 1969 Romanian made. A good way to really know is to pull a bullet and if it has boat tail its steel core. We tend to get mostly steel core ammo because the Americans buy all the lead core since steel core 7,62x39 is considered AP pistol ammo.

Like everyone I'd like to see cheaper 7.62x39, I just picked up a crate at around $0.20/round that beats the local prices of $400/1440

I think prices are artificially high, US issues, uncertain economical times, etc.

I'm hopeful prices will drop back down to $200/crate. Still can't reload for near the cost of loaded corrosive so for now I'll run surplus corrosive.

I could see the day that a group of liberals ban the import of army surplus ammo. Thats when the price would go up in a big way.
