I spend way too much time and money setting them up, and thinking how handy they will be. When the time comes to hunt though, I imagine sitting in a blind when some monster 200+ B&C white tail steps out - at 300 yards.
So, I take a real rifle instead.

I fit my RugerM77 hawkeye with a 308 magazine well, spring, and follower.
This way I can seat my 150 grain and heavier bullets to the rifling and still feed through the blind magazine.
Accurate little rifle!

I plan to rebarrel it with a 20" shilen select match barrel #7 palma taper.
Use a tactical style scope and have fun target shooting out to 5-600 yards.
