Folks,

I realized that I was mean and didn't put any pictures up of the rifle....

So, here goes.

This is (I think) everything that came in the box from Wolverine for me.

A little zoom in on the accessories. Note, one of the mags was numbered to the rifle....using a black marker.

Here's the detail on the left side of the receiver:

With magazine applied:

The scope mount added, along with the 1-4x VX-II Leupold I have on it.

And another with less glare.

Overall, the rifle points and feels VERY comfy.

I haven't fired it yet.

The scope/mount raises the line of sight up so that I will want a cheek-rest to shoot it with a good cheek-weld as opposed to a chin-weld.

This is to be my new hunting rifle, I was going to chop down and bastagize a #1 Mk III, but this is better.

Brad, I got a New Repo No4T sniper cheek piece from E Gun Parts for mine. Was about 30 USD. I ended up making one myself for another rifle once I had a copy to play with...

I'm interested in a range report. Nice rifle. I see they raised the scope mount to not touch the hand guard. Nice wood too.

Tom, if I recall, the ten round mags on the B Series fit the M14 and clones. Someone, maybe Wolverine or Marstar just brought in a bunch of 20 rounders that weren't pinned either. I think all that needs to happen to get past the restriction is to engrave or punch the mags "For AIA M10-A ONLY".
I might be wrong on this but why should it be any different from the mags intended for the M10-B rifles or the AR pistol's mags?

Interestingly, the AK mags I have for my 12(5) AK do not fit this rifle....though...that AK is a .223 Norinco copy (84-S) so it's apples and oranges.

There was some talk about proprietary mags for the 7.62x39 rifles. Not sure what happened with that...although these rifles were in the US and then England and then here I think I read.

If they had proprietary mags designed just for them, no limit would apply. It probably wasn't worth the development costs as I think only Canada has that 5 round mag law. :(

That is a rifle for which I would ACTUALLY CONSIDER reloading for.
Ever thought of using cast?
150 or 170 gr .30 cal moulds - some don't need resizing as they come out of the mould at .311" Might be suitable?

Thanks for the pics NS

I tried some cast bullets in mine yesterday. They were two different weights.

190 grn 311644 w/gas checks and 150grain 311466 w/gas checks. My moulds throw these at .312. I didn't size them and loaded them as cast.

The 190 grain bullets shot better than the 150 grain bullets. Neither of them were great. About 6 inches at 100 yards for the 150s and about 4 inches for the 190 grainers. This isn't all that surprising. The barrel has what appears to be a 1-8 twist. I loaded up 10 of each weight to see if they would show some promise. I loaded them on the hot side because the action is massive and can handle it. I used 23.5 grains of RL7 for the 150s and put as much H4831 old style into the case as I could fit in. The throat is fairly shallow in these rifles so the bullets need to be seated deep.

The results weren't spectacular but show promise.

As to the OP, NO the bridges aren't slotted. The rifles are set up for a bridge style scope mount and wouldn't allow charger feeding. That could be a drawback in competition. I see no reason why they couldn't be milled into the bridge though. Just understand, the bridges on these rifles are cast with the rest of the receiver. They are solid. This action is massive for the cartridge. It is easily capable of withstanding the same pressures as the M10-B model. All in all, if you can afford one, buy one. There are reportedly less than 60 in Canada. In the US, their short barrel counterparts, M10-A2 models are fetching $1000US used. It won't be that long, before they will fetch that here. Especially when people realise what they are really capable of.

I have several thousand of the Spanish CETME bullets that were offered by SFRC last fall and the power they were loaded over. I'm going to give those a try next. They are long for weight and measure .3105 diameter. Some of them are a bit larger. They should be just the thing for this rifle.

Proprietary mags

Marstar has some ordered, but they are held up in litigation in the US. There is mention of this on their forum.

Will be offering newly manufactured walnut NO4T sniper cheeck pieces come early summer for $25 CDN shipped!
Wondering if anyone would want the cheek piece in Beech wood?

Dale Z in T-Bay;)

My M10-B2 has a .308 bore and the M10A1 has a .3095 bore. It shoots .308 bullets very well.

Geoff B, are you talking about the 20 round mags for the M10-B series rifles or the 10 round mags for the M10-A series?
