Hey all :D

I remember seeing an AR15 that takes AK mags and fires the Russian round.
If I remember correctly, it was called the AR47.
Just wondering what fellow CGNers know about this beefed-up AR?
Are they reliable?
Tough?
Costly?
And where in Canada can I order a complete rifle?

This is the only info I found out there:

Looks nice but not too sure about the strength of the receiver after taking a look at the pics. :?
What do you think?

All info appreciated as always :D
Thanx,

Thanks DaedalusX,
That was exactely was I was looking for, shame it's discontinued.
I wonder if anyone has ever handled and fired one before?

the weak spot is in the bolt. the face has to be opened up to get the case to fit. this makes the teeth very short. make them prone to breakages. plus the surplus steel case ammo is not very smart to use in the guns. the laquer coating sticks in the chamber and jams up once it gets hot. i bent my charging hande just trying to get it free.
also has alittle trouble cycling. you have to play with the bolt carrier and bufer/spring to get it to run right. after all this the NONar47 has mag issues with feeding.

I want one of these!!

OK, you guys know me. Simply wanting one and having the cash to buy it is reason enough.

Now I have to ask, WHY?

The reciever looks like it's fragile.
Shooting corrosive ammo in a piston system is one thing, but in a direct gas action

I don't know about you, but my state of joy would not improve having to take apart the complete bolt group including gas rings every range session.
