I picked some .312 dia 123 grain copper plated bullets (.008-.010 plating) from EPPS. It was a 500 bulk pack and I tried them out of my Mosin and accuracy was not too great. I guess I may have been pushing them a little too hard. Has anyone used these types of bullets in the 7.62x39 and if so what load did you get decent accuracy? I am thinking light is better with these.

Thanks

The Mosin is pretty accurate at least better than I can shoot. 1" at 100 yards. I got it mounted with a 3x9 leupold with a Rock Solid Mount and a Timney Trigger. Haven't tried the 7.62x39 yet for accuracy. Hopefully those bullets do better in the gun they were designed for.

Bullets $79.99 for 500 bullets at EPPS.

You loading 'em with cast bullet data? It's required. Plated bullets are not jacketed.
You won't get super accuracy out of an SKS(assuming that's what you have). Minute of deer at best. That'd do though. What they do out of a rifle designed to use heavier bullets doesn't tell you much.
