Thinking about having a barrel made up for my Savage switch barrel rig, likely in a 22" featherweight / light sporter contour.
Main reason is that I only have a .223 Rem. size bolt head for the rifle, a wack of 223 quality brass (RWS, Lapua & PRVI). It started life as a Stevens 200, then I picked up a couple of savage stocks for it (synthetic varmint sporter & a laminated BR Precision stock), a few older BR barrels (3 x .223), a Rifle Basic trigger, better optics (B&L 6-24x42 & a Swarovski 4x32). I run it as a single shot as I didn't like the centre-feed magazine box.
Anybody here ever do up a barrel for any of these, especially on a Savage/Stevens?
