A conversation. My friend says he got some 7.62x43 ammo. Usually uses 7.62x39 in his Russian SKS. He doesn't know what the difference is in this x43 stuff and I think this was what he was referring to when he said he had never heard of it before (the x43 I mean). There was lots of info and I have no idea about these things.
So the question he has.... He measured every angle and dimension of both shells and could see zero difference between the two.
What measurement does the x39 or x43 represent?
And, can he use the 7.62x43 safely in the russian sks? There was even talk of a typo on packaging or something (I walked into the middle of the talk so sorry if my question/info is confusing).
