They even have a VZ 52 machine gun, an interesting LMG that resembles the Bren/ZB gun and uses the old 7.62 Czech intermediate round, and can be fed either by belt or magazine.

If you note the price, it is 7 times the price of 7.62x39 and 7.62x54. Even if you do get it approved, it won't be cheap.

Yeah, I knew that - otherwise our vendors would be bringing it over. As someone else pointed out, the x39 and 54r is seven times cheaper than the 308. With the currency calculator looks like a crate of 7.62x39 comes out to $54 CDN and 7.62 Nato is about $350 or so.
