I have, but it is getting rarer every year.

John has a certain old school style when it comes to these things...... he's a wee bit on the crusty side and calls it like he sees it. Thick skin required on both sides of the counter..... :)

He likely does not realize that Ganederite is a solid gunnut.

DEAR CUSTOMERS; I will do my best to not offend anyone....
I tried my best to fully describe the ammunition, all technical details, non-corrosive, packaging, dates, even photos, we were up front about the priming, etc, etc,
yet we continue to get unfounded opinions, on how we should or should not market a product.... You only see a small number of comments, I get e mail and tel calls as well.

be certain that we welcome any and all valid suggestions, but PLEASE try to keep logical....

We have been involved in dealing surplus ammunition for almost 50 years, we know the questions, we know what to look for . I started dealing with HP when Marlena Dietrich's son was chairman of the board, that's a long time ago

I will be pleased to read your questions, if you have opinions kindly make certain they are supported by fact.

JohnOne, not cool to be tough with a most knowledgeable, generous and helpful gentleman. I always appreciate the intelligence and wisdom of his posts.
The way I read Ganderite's post, he meant the full cartridge, not the wooden crate.
 
John, another helpful suggestion is to edit your first post in this thread to answer some of the repetitive questions and include a link to your website.
 
Maybe it's best for all concerned to accept the fact that you may get one, or the other type of primer. I don't expect John to open each case, and inspect a pack to find out before shipping.
It's not the end of the world.
 
It's like a good prize at the bottom of your cracker jacks......or finding out your surplus is actually tracer...... :)

Got no reply on earlier PMs so doing it myself. I'm at 7 cases. Need 3 more so we can all save more.

I'm in LaSalle at the foot of Mercier Bridge.
To save on shipping, I will see if possible to pick up at the carrier's warehouse. On "D-Day" members can join me at the warehouse and pick their case(s). If not, it will be at my place. If an IPSC shooter, I can deliver at any upcoming match, I shoot them all.
Everyone gets a copy of the invoice, no secrets.

Hey Dook depending on how many I can get in Victoria, I might as well team up with you if it ends up cheaper. I go to Abbotsford to see my parent 2-3 time during the summer...
 
When I read John's comment, this is why I will continue to buy from them
No BS, to the point.
For years, Marstar has been instrumental at keeping some prices down.
I remember when he started to sell Norinco M-14 for 399! that was half market price at that time. He could have sell for a lot more.
Same with Mecgar mags, cheapest price in Canada.

I am awaiting pricing from Marstar on both shipping and the cases. So far I got a response that a quote will follow his initial response.

You could take a dolley with you on the ferry.
You will be guaranteed some looks; on the way to Van people will wonder why the heck this guy have a dolley......... on the way back because of its content.....:d
