There is no info about the type of bullit in the first post exempt that it is FMJ.
Apologies if it has already been further clarified from earlier posts, but is there any external markings on the crates themselves to identity Boxer or Berdan primed? My understanding (stated by John in an earlier post) The crates are not marked per se for primer type...it this will be like X-mas, you will only know till the crate is opened and the round(s) are physically inspected?
I REPEAT, there is NO way to determine the primer type by the markings on the cases....
John
From the research i did 79-80 markings with light green around the primer is boxer, anthing older with no paint or dark green around primer is berdan.
cool! thanks polskiogorki... I guess it will really be like Christmas opening our ammo crates hehe
Also... I love your username![]()
Would you be kind enough to share this research, our information from the MOD in Austria stated they were unable to determine which part of the contracts were boxer or berdan
John
when you pull the trigger...your gun will go BOOM!!!
Sometimes knowing which part of the gun goes boom is important!![]()
I think what is important here is will this run in my m305?
I ordered a case and might of got another but no joy on a group buy. You didn't say anything about a heavier spring in your M14's??I had a bunch of Hirtenberger 7.62 about 10 years ago, found it was a pretty hot load when compared to say SA or LC , my m14 type rifles did not like that stuff too much, cycled the action way too hard for my liking. nice brass tho
not complaining, I think it's awesome marstar has brought this in.

One of my .308's is a Norc M14 clone. DO you think they need an upgrade (heavier spring) to shoot this ammo?
Not to discredit 45acpking but there have been alot of experts in this thread and he was the only one to say it is hot ammo. Anyone else suspect this would overpower an m14 clone?

I repeat, this is NATO standards ammop, look up the specs, "hot" ammo, give me a break

my apologies to Johnone and others if my comments as a socalled or perceived "expert" has caused anyone confusion. I forget sometimes that folks take my comments as advice when it comes to the m14 stuff and I should know by now to govern my comments accordingly. sorry guys.
HMMMMM!!! Interesting read.. The word HOT was used numerous times by differant poster's. Which is good news for me because some of this will be used in a bolt gun to see how far it will reach...
