Just curious, but are the stripper clips for the M-14, FN/FAL, G3, etc interchangeable?

Since the rim size and capacity hasn't changed since the 98 mauser in 8mm, I wondered if the stripper clips were essentially interchangable, or if some were specific to the individual gun's clip guide.

Yes, nato standard, all the same
 
You mention the 98 Mauser - bolt action clips are not the same. The NATO version has a single pair of positionning lugs, bolt action clips have two pairs.

Good to know. Is it the same for the 1903 Springfield?
