I've done a couple searches and have come up relatively empty handed. I know the usual suspects for this ammo (Marstar, Districorp, etc.) and I know that Things Military is a distributor for Districorp in Calgary. Are there any other suppliers/sources of 7.62x51 ammo in Calgary? My new Marstar toys need feeding :)

I would sooner eat the urinal cakes out of the mens john at the Cecil hotel before dealing with Proline Shooters. I got a bunch of x51mm from P&D, worth the drive to do buisness there

What about the 147gr Winchester White Box ammo? Cheap enough, easily available and actually pretty accurate in both my M-14 and even my 700VS! I purchase it from my Coastal Marine and Recreation (Polaris dealer, plus some firearms and ammo, sporting goods) but I've seen it on the shelves in Wholesale Sports last time I was up along! :) Maybe not quite so cheap as surplus, but not that much more expensive either, plus the brass is great for reloading! :)

X-Man that's a good idea. I'll stop into Wholesale this week and investigate. Their website says $12.99 a box which isn't bad.

Urinal cakes from the Cecil? That's nasty. P&D is a good idea though, I've done business with them before and have no complaints.

How much is the Norinco 7.62x51 going for?

I'd get a case or two if it was priced right.

I've heard it is actually a bit better in the accuracy department than the FNM (portugese) stuff that is selling for $320 per 1k, not that the FNM is bad or anything.

Check with John Parsons of Precision reloading in Port Coquitlam. He carries cased of 1000 rounds of Portugese non-corrosive 7.62 Nato for $350 tax included.

His email is jpar@shaw.ca

I've bought ammo from P&D in the past but don't really have anything to compare it with price wise. The stuff I've bought (Hornady TAP .40) isn't exactly common around Calgary.

I don't mind paying a little more if it's located in AB as it would get made up in the shipping charges from outside the province.

Things Military here in Calgary carries carries cases of 1000 rounds of Portugese non-corrosive 7.62 Nato. Not sure on his current pricing, but earlier in the year I paid 320 + tax.

Well to be fair, HE ALWAYS seems to be down to his last case, and then scrambels, and all of a sudden ther is more. I would not be supprised if he has one case for a long time, even though they keep going out the door!!

This is not a dig, just my observation on his resosfulness, and the fact that ammo keep coming out of the back.
