Well to be fair, HE ALWAYS seems to be down to his last case, and then scrambels, and all of a sudden ther is more. I would not be supprised if he has one case for a long time, even though they keep going out the door!!

This is not a dig, just my observation on his resosfulness, and the fact that ammo keep coming out of the back.

I got the 'Last case' story on 7.62X54r about three times. If you feel like driving a bit, backcountry sports in Red Deer had a few cases of Portugese as of a week ago

How much is the Norinco 7.62x51 going for?

I'd get a case or two if it was priced right.

I've heard it is actually a bit better in the accuracy department than the FNM (portugese) stuff that is selling for $320 per 1k, not that the FNM is bad or anything.

Yes, they are more accurate & consistant than FNM's

Rednek You may or not be aware that there has been a change in management at Proline, this happened several months ago. Maybe worth a second chance to see if you still feel that way.
I have had several dealings with the new fellow all have been positive.
Just thought I would let you know about the changes, 1 can never have too many sources for gun stuff today.

Their urinal cakes are my favorite, how did you know?

Ever seen the movie Joe's Apartment??

Even more importantly than that, do you forsee any reasonably priced .303 ammo becoming available, for example from Norinco? Considering how many millions of Enfield rifles are around, it's hard to believe nobody's making affordable bulk ammo for them.

What would you pick between Norinco, Portugese and Belgian FN. ?

FN is the Port headstamp.......I think the fellow has it confused with FN as in the Highpower, which is Belgian.

Almost all military ammo made outside North America is Berdan primed, corrosive or not.

I'm sure that I had FNM headstamped 5.56 cases in the '70s that were boxer primed.

Or were the glue fumes stronger back then?

They may have been Boxer. I will know for sure pretty soon.

FNM (Portugal) and FN (Belgium) are both excellent. Take whichever is handy or cheaper

Just heard back from Districorp:

"We have different types of packaging that will be arriving and prices will be finalized as soon as the ammunition is delivered.

All the PMP .308 we will have will be berdan primed, brass cases, lead core and non-corrosive. We will be confirming the packaging, pricing and years of manufacture next week on our web site. We do expect to have a price approximately at the $320 per 1000 rounds mark."

Line up boys! :dancingbanana:
