7.62x54r / 7.62x39 chargers?

No. You'll never be able to get a 54R round on a 39 stripper clip because of the rim.

Darn - I was unaware that the x39 was rimless... anyone got a line on a handful of 7.62x54R chargers? I've had half an eye out for em, but only ran into them once at a show [and was dammed if I was gonna pay $5 each... 'robbery']

I found the new production chargers didn't fit my rifles as one would hope. They got stuck and the rounds didn't want to release
darn - that's irritating, I searched tradeex for 7.62 & got nothing.... oh well, some guy on ebay wins
now off to find some 7mm Mauser chargers....

While some search engines will give you answers to what you are looking for, it is still the same "garbage in = garbage out" principle. You have to ask the right questions to get the right answers.
Trade-Ex has all kinds of stuff, but you have to learn how to use their website. When you first go on it, look at the toolbar on the top and select "PRODUCTS."
A menu list will appear, and then you have several options such as "ammunition" " reloading components," or "military rifles, etc."
By clicking on one of these menus, you can scan through the Trade-Ex website fairly easy to see if they have what you want. You will find the chargers in "Military Surplus - Militaria."

It does help to load them right. With the Lee Enfield, the cartridges are loaded into the charger down,up, down,up, down with the second and fourth cartridge rims ahead of the first, third and fifth cartridge rims, which go tight against the back. _ - _ - _
With the Mosin Nagant, the cartridges are loaded into the charger in sort of an "arrowhead" fashion or upside down "V" with the two end cartridges flat against the back of the charger, the two next inside cartridges loaded with the rims above the two end ones, and the center cartridge loaded with the rim above the two inside ones. I've tried the arrowhead, enfield style, reverse enfield style and many other arrangments for loading my 54r chargers. THe arrowhead and reverse enfield both seem to work. The only hitch is that if the chargers are carried for a bit, the rounds all fall out of alignment anyhow. I've found that so long as the rim of the very first round out of the magazine is ahead of the second, the rest will follow along nice, b/c of the interupter.
As to "7mm" chargers for a Mauser, it would be a really good idea to know which MODEL of rifle they are for. A '98 does not generally handle the same Charger as a '91, for example; charger guides in the rear receiver bridge are cut differently.
